AFO conducts the 7 day Fellowship course twice every year in Bangalore, India during the months of April and October and in New Delhi, India during the months of May and November. Instructions for Foreign Participants

1. Overseas participants are advised to apply for a Tourist Visa to India and mention purpose of visit as sight-seeing. Please keep adequate cash with you in US Dollars / Euro only. Money changers available here to convert into INR as and when needed. Full fees (balance) payment to be done on first day, at the beginning of the course.

2. Full fixed orthodontic instruments and starter kit (for initial 10 cases) will cost about 1100 USD here. It is more economical to buy these from here (inquire about import laws of your country), as Indian steel is cheapest in the world.

3. Please inquire about roaming facility in Indian networks (Idea, Airtel, Aircel, BSNL, Vodaphone, MTN, Tata, Reliance) with your mobile phone service provider. It is difficult to obtain a local sim card here (inquire at the airport itself) due to heightened security concerns. Obtain a local sim card from the airport arrival lunge itself. Wireless internet access is available here and Internet cafes will be found everywhere.

4. If you have not liked Indian food before, it is advised to bring with you canned food. Breads, Milk and bottled water available here. Weather is generally cool during November - December.

5. Check at Indian embassy / consulate if you need any special vaccinations for coming to India. If you are under any medication, please bring all your medicines with you as some medicines / brands may not be available here. Also it is best to have your medical records with you. There are excellent, world class medical facilities here in Delhi if you need any emergency treatments.

Dr.Ravi Kumar

has been practicing and teaching orthodontics for the last 12 years.

He is a keen researcher and has received Govt. Of India patent for his invention in dentistry.

He has been in the teaching profession since the last 8 years and is the founder president of Indian Society Of Orthodontics For General Practitioners (ISOGP), the only organization in India representing general practitioners with orthodontic practice.

He is also conducting short term and long term (including online) Certificate Course in Fixed Orthodontics for the general dentist based on the Realistic Treatment Philosophy (RTP) developed by him.
