Chapter 1: Drawing and Concept Design
Introduction To Sketching And Drawing, Perspective by setting up eye levels, Using Pencils for shading, Sketching Moving Objects - People And Animals, Perspective design, Proportion in portrait drawing, Highlighting and shadows, Understanding the Colour theory by studying the colour wheel (RGB), Illusion drawings, The first steps in colour drawing, Theories of figure drawing, Anatomy and Action Line Poses, Design and Composition of Figure drawing, drawing with stick figures and/or using a mannequin, Drawing a flip book concept, Narrative drawing, Muscles and Anatomy, Composition and Expression, Clay modelling, Digital Photography, Digital colour correction, Background Design according to a storyboard. Objectives: Build a foundation in life drawing skills by creating and submitting more than hundred figure drawings, Bird drawings and inorganic object drawings, Understanding the various colour combinations with respect to the colour theory, Creating background for a story by submitting various storyboard artworks.

Chapter 2: 2D Classical Animation
Developing story from scripting concept to story line, script writing, storyboarding, planning strategy, paraphrasing according to story, developing characters both living and nonliving from realistic, semi realistic to cartooning. Developing manual & digital backgrounds, camera angles. History of animation, Principle of Animation, Lip synchronization, Expressions, Working on the light box, Walk through of Human beings Male, Female, Children, Kids and even New born infant, animals, reptiles and birds. additional animal walk cycle and postures, flying and swimming, analysis, anatomy, postural expression, perspective, and caricature. Human emotions and motivated action in isolation. Considering styles of performance and range of movement appropriate to the character’s design and the choice of layout. Interactive human emotion and motivated action. Different styles of performance, timing, composition, and staging. Object animation and effects. Hard/soft/elastic, fire, water, wind, fabric/clothing, ropes, weight/ inertia/ pull/ push/ throw/ break/ bounce. Extremes of size and weight in character animation, styles of inbetweening, breakdown positions, mass, bone/muscle/flesh and fat, influences of technique, budget, and schedule, interactive character animation, lip sync and cinematic storytelling. Listening/thinking/speaking, accents, styles of speaking, styles of lip animation, body sync, storyboards and animatics. Objectives: Developing a short animation film on the basis of a defined storyboard, Undertanding the workflow for producing a 2d animation film, designing digital BGs for various environment. Editorial advice and review relating to the preparation of a course showreel.

Chapter 3: 3D modeling & Advanced Animation & Game Design
Introduction and comparison of Max Vs. Maya, Understanding the GUI, Polygon Tools, Subdivisions Surfaces, Products, Props Models, Creature Models, Low Poly, High Poly, Hard Surface Models, Automobile Modeling, Jet Models etc., Organic Modeling, Low Poly (Game Character), High Poly (Detailed Human Character), Shaders. Theory of Video format and video connection standards, Digital Graphics and Effects with media animation techniques including effects tree, scratch removal, Warp Effect, timewarping, mix and match, luma keyer, Blue/Green Keyer, and advanced titling, Digital Video Composition inclusive of Rotoscoping Blue-Green keying, using multiple mattes, Photoshop import, travelling mattes, morphing, stabilizing, tracking, offset tracking, and 3D DVE compositing. Non Linear Editing with Final Cut Pro, Multitrack editing, Studying various types of shots, Footage caputuring, Shooting and Editing a project, Audio for Video with special emphasis on synchronization and the time code, Multi-track audio-sweetening techniques including music editing, sound effects designtion. Objectives: Design and create media animations using a video format , Use a range of digital technology for the production of audio and video content, including the ability to Capture, edit and process audio, Produce digital video, Design and create media animations using a video format. Select appropriate data and compression formats for the efficient distribution of digital media.
