Chartered Accountant
This title is an internationally recognized professional designation. A Chartered Accountant is the person who specializes in the fields of audit, taxation and mainly accounting. Many a times he acts as management and corporate caretaker. This professional has taken its peak importance in the industry. Be it big MNCs or small-scale companies and businesses a Chartered Accountant is mostly compulsorily required to manage the company’s money matters.
Course Structure
Preparation for CA starts with clearing the Common Proficiency Test (CPT). A student can appear for CPT when he has appeared for his 12th class exams.

Pattern of Exam

There is one paper divided into 2 sessions of 2 hours each with a break of 1 hour in between.

CPT is an objective type exam with MCQs with negative marking

A student needs to score a minimum of 30% in each section and an overall score of 50% to pass the CPT exam.

The Test will be conducted twice a year: June & December.

As seen from the above comparison chart, if the student concentrates on his studies for the Class XI and Class XII examinations, it shall be sufficient to revise those topics effectively for the CPT Exams.

The level of knowledge required for CPT is only Basic Knowledge. Hence, detailed “research” into any of the topics is not warranted.
After CPT

After C.P.T., the student has to appear for I.P.C.C. Exam along with 100 hours of Computer Training with Recognized Institutions.

Only after I.P.C.C. Group – I is cleared, three years articleship can be started.

After Clearing I.P.C.C both groups and completing 3 years of articleship, the student should appear for and pass final C.A. Exam.

On passing Final C.A. Exam, the student becomes a Chartered Accountant.
