Admission Information

An admission at Welingkar's is not just admission to another Hybrid Program. Instead, it is a journey of excellence fostered by a hybrid model that combines Hybrid Learning with Personal Contact Program and experiential learning methodology. Outlined below are the unique attributes of the admission process:

Welingkar offers admission flexibility for students to enroll for the course all year round. There will be four batches each year commencing in January, April, July and October.

Fee Structure

Entire fees of Rs. 50,000/- for two years to be paid in advance, without Personal Contact Program (PCP) or Rs. 53,600/- along with PCP fees

Yearly option Rs. 27,500/- per year without PCP or Rs. 31,100/- along with PCP fees

Overseas Students US $2000/- (entire course fees)

Methodology

weSchool’s HB give the best of teaching and learning experience to students through a unique hybrid structure. While on one hand, the program adapt modern teaching techniques to help students learn continuously and conveniently, from anyplace and at anytime, it also doesn’t undermine the effective traditional teaching system, where students receive printed course materials and get to meet and interact with their peers. To make the process of learning more engaging and interactive, weSchool continuously endeavor to add value to the program leveraging on its unique hybrid structure.

Dual Specialization

Students can register for Dual Specialization when they are in the fourth semester. They can obtain an additional specialization in any of the Ten specialization areas i.e. Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, General Management, Retail Management, Operations, Supply Chain Management, E-Business, International Business & Banking, Investment & Insurance after completion of the primary specialization. Every student seeking dual specialization must submit an application in the format available in the “Notices Section” giving their admission number, primary specialization and the dual specialization chosen along with the dual specialization fees.

Students can opt for an additional specialization, subject to the following terms and conditions:

• The course fee will be Rs.5000/- less than the 1 year fees applicable to the batch in which the student has joined.

• Students seeking dual specialization will be required to complete the 3rd and 4th semesters of the additional specialization after completion of the primary specialization. The additional registration validity period of one year is given to students to complete any pending assignments/project report of the additional specialization.

• The course fee for dual specialization is inclusive of the exam fees. However the exam fee rules are the same as per the regular specialization.

• Waivers Available to Dual Specialization Students: Dual specialization students will get waivers in subjects which are common in their primary and additional specialization.

Direct Admission to 2nd Semester

Lateral Entry
Students who are graduates and have joined the 1 year Diploma program from Welingkar's on or after January 2006 and have successfully completed the same can directly join the 2nd semester of the 2 year PGDM hybrid program subject to the following terms and conditions:

• The course fees of Rs.40,000/- is to be paid at the time of admission.

• Students will be able to complete the program in One and Half years.(Direct saving of six months)

• Specialization will have to be chosen at the time of admission. Change in specialization is not permissible.

• Depending on the specialization chosen in the 2-years PG Hybrid Program, students will be given waivers in a combination of subjects, some from Year 1 and some from Year 2. Thus, within one semester (6 months), students will give all the remaining subjects of Year 1 and thereby complete the 1st year of the program.

• In every semester, for every subject, students are required to appear for one mid-term exam and one end semester exam.

• All other rules and regulations are the same as those applicable to regular students.
